One of the great things about being a bacon foodie is that you understand that the enjoyment of food extends to all the senses. Not only are taste, smell, and texture important, but presentation and visual appeal are key.

There are many fine examples of creative presentation when it comes to bacon. Since it is best eaten in neat, thin strips, it lends itself well to weaving. Once you can make a basic Bacon Weave (examples), you can start to create different shapes and forms. Bowls, baskets, and wraps for other foods are popular. One of the more innovative things I’ve seen is the Bacon Turtle. The Red-Neck Turtle Burgers look delicious. Taking things a step further, we get the sausage stuffed bacon turtle.
